OGRA Fines 37 Petrol Pumps for Violation of Cleanliness Rules

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has imposed a Rs 1.85 million fine on 37 petrol pumps of eight Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) over violation of cleanliness rules.

The authority’s teams inspected various petrol pumps in different parts of the country and imposed a Rs. 50,000 fine on seven outlets of Shell Pakistan Limited, two pumps of Attock Petroleum Limited, three of Byco Petroleum Limited, eight from Total Parco Pakistan Limited, ten belonging to Pakistan State Oil, two Askar Oil Services Private Limited, two Hascol Petroleum Limited and three PUMA Energy Limited, a press release said.

The inspection is being carried out in line with the directions of the Prime Minister’s Clean and Green Initiative.

The fine of Rs. 18,50,000, received from the Oil Marketing Companies, has to be deposited in the federal treasury.
