He stated that the mini-budget was rolled out to introduce a business and export-friendly environment which will generate employment in the country. The new finance bill has not added any new taxes on the public, but reduced existing ones, he said.

It should be mentioned here that for one reason or another, PTA has been pushing the last date for phone registration. It started with December 1st then it got pushed forward to 31st December. The telecom authority then delayed it until 15th January and now, February 15.

As per PTA’s website, people are required to get their phone registered until the deadline. The authority would start blocking unauthorized and unverified mobile phones whenever the deadline ends.

  • So is the auto registration valid like before January 15? You just have to insert sim and use phone to get registered?

  • So that means if i buy phone from dubai it will be easily be activated after insert SIM ? Please clarify.

  • 15th Feb! Doesn’t seem to be the case. I am using imported phone for the past 2 days and the PTA status still shows it as “Non=compliant”. So, i guess the extension information is not correct.

  • So what do we do if we just got an unregistered imported phone? I checked the CoC method and it requires way too many documents that I don’t have.

  • I’m flying to Pakistan tomorrow. Bring in 2 phones can someone please help me with what I need to do ?

  • But at PTA website it is nor declared that last date is 15 feb ?? is it true news or false?? please inform me??
