Samsung Vietnam may have spilled the beans on the company’s foldable phone. The launch of the phone has been long-awaited and it may make an appearance (or so we hope) at Samsung Unpacked, an event scheduled to be held on 20th February.
A teaser was posted by Samsung Vietnam, which was then quickly deleted. There is no word on whether it was a deliberate attempt to cause hype or it was a genuine mistake.
Irrespective of the motive, the teaser demonstrated a number of futuristic devices including a foldable phone, which the company has been working on for a long while, according to strong rumors.
However, the big question is: is Samsung launching its very first phone with a foldable display soon?
Here is the teaser:
When we look at the teaser, or even the image above, there is a foldable display inside and the outside cover also has a display.
The last time Samsung teased about its foldable phone, it was back in November. The device was expected to cost around $1,700 and it had a 7.3-inch screen and a 1536 x 2152 resolution.
It is worth pointing out that Samsung is not the first company to be working on a foldable phone as OPPO, Huawei and Xiaomi have also teased or shown off their concepts.
It remains to be seen which company takes this innovative idea to its true potential and whether the first versions will be practical enough or not.
