Pakistan Metrological Department has predicted more rain/snow in the country over the coming week.
Met office said that a strong rain bearing system is going to enter the country on Sunday (evening/night) and is likely to persist till Friday.
Heavy rainfall may trigger landslides in Malakand, Hazara, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir and may cause flash flooding in local nullah/riverine of Balochistan and hill torrents of DG Khan on Wednesday and Thursday.
In the initial phase rain with snowfall over the hills is expected at scattered places in northeastern Balochistan (Quetta, Zhob, Kalat divisions), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha and Faisalabad divisions), Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, Kashmir during Sunday (evening/night) and Monday.
In the final phase, this weather system is likely to further intensify on Tuesday evening/night and may persist till Friday.
Widespread rain and thunderstorms (with few moderate to scattered heavy falls) are expected in Balochistan, in scattered places in Sindh on Tuesday (evening) to Thursday and in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Islamabad, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir till Friday.
