The world’s largest messaging platform, WhatsApp, is testing a new feature that will help users easily search through chats to find important documents, photos, and messages.
According to reports, the company is reportedly testing the advanced search feature on iOS devices (beta) before rolling it out globally to its 1.3 billion users.
The feature would allow users to search through photos, videos, GIFS, documents, audio files or links.
Currently, the messaging application has a search option which allows users to look for specific messages by entering keywords in lengthy chats – which becomes a bit messy at times. However, the new feature will minimize the hassle for WhatsApp users.
We don’t have a release date for the new feature yet, but you can expect it to go live in a few weeks’ time.
