Punjab Introduces Centralized Monitoring for Housing Schemes

Punjab Housing Minister Bilal Yasin has announced that the government will monitor all housing schemes through a centralized system to improve transparency and maintain accurate records.

During a review meeting, the minister also assessed progress on proposed laws aimed at curbing illegal construction and unauthorized housing schemes.

Bilal Yasin said the government will ensure transparency and strict compliance with legal requirements in the housing sector. He added that addressing the problems faced by people living in illegal housing societies remains a top priority.

The minister warned that authorities will take action against housing societies that fail to register under the Housing Society Management System.

He said the integration of the NADRA system, digital maps, and e registration services will help prevent fraud. He also announced that Punjab has ended the practice of buying and selling plots through the file system and is introducing Green Property Certificates.

Bilal Yasin urged citizens to verify housing societies through the Punjab Land Records Authority before purchasing property. He said digitizing the system will reduce fraud and improve transparency in the real estate sector.
