The Pakistan Super League (PSL) has been a great platform for local talent to showcase their abilities in front of a global audience.
Pakistan’s domestic league has already produced a number of budding stars such as Faheem Ashraf, Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, and Rumman Raees.
In addition to that, the competition has also given these youngsters an opportunity to rub shoulders with some of the biggest names in cricket like Shane Watson, DJ Bravo, Brendon McCullum and more.
This year, Haris Rauf and Mohammad Hasnain have already made a huge impact. However, Karachi’s Umer Khan isn’t far behind.
The 19-year old slow left-arm spinner has already made a name for himself after taking a number of crucial wickets this season.
Selected under the ’emerging category’, the youngster first introduced himself on the biggest stage by dismissing none other than, AB de Villiers.
Since then, he has been entrusted with the task of taking wickets at crucial moments of the game and he hasn’t disappointed.
