Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has released a list of 23 players called for a fitness test ahead of the World Cup and Wahab Riaz and Umar Akmal are not in contention.
Fast bowler Wahab Riaz and middle-order batsman Umar Akmal are currently in red-hot form in the ongoing Pakistan ODI Cup in Rawalpindi, however, the team management and selection committee have decided not to include them among the probables.
PCB will conduct a fitness test at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore on April 15 and 16, a press release from PCB confirmed.
According to the presser, the selection committee will announce the squad for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 on April 18.
Given below are the names of 23 players invited for the fitness test in Lahore.

Note that Pakistan cricket team is scheduled to leave for England on April 23 where they will play a one-off T20 followed by a five-match ODI series ahead of World Cup 2019.
why include yasir shah?
Don’t know he didn’t preformed in UAEs turning wickets then why they included him..
I don’t know what they are doing. Yasir shah is not best at english pitches.. Their 23 payers are surprised.
Why include Imam, because he is nephew of Inzamam. His on field conduct is deplorable, neither he has impressed with the bat. Team will repent his inclusion.

He is playing with an average of 55 boy .he is impressive with the bat

Very disappointing selection, where is wahab riaz, he always deserves to wc 2019, other cricketer like M. Nawaz, yasir shah, abid ali, Muhammad hasnain, among them some are new, and not experienced, and some of them not have one day cricket experience, all this selection is about favoritism of couch mickey aurthur, inzamam ul haq and sarfaraz. Sarfaraz also have bad batting performance in last 20 odis, he scares to bat, he is not the legend cricket what Pakistan wanted.
When Imam Fakhar and Abid are available then why they included Flopped Shan Masood. Babar can bat as an opener. Yasir shah had a bad series in UAE. I think 1 or Experience players in Batting order are essential for world cup.

Absolutely wrong selection why KAMRAN AKMAL is not included in the side . Pakistan will not even qualify for Sami final with these players. Please get open ions of senior players Javid miandad and ZAHEER Abbas
It’s too early for Abid Ali and Muhammad hasnain to be included for mega events like world cup.. why Usman shinwari? Why Muhammad rizwan( cant not hit a boundary), why yasir Shah? Why muhammad nawaz? Why Muhammad Abbas?
I think Kamran akmal is better option and experienced player at top… ball will come nicely on his bat in english conditions. Umar akmal will be firepower at lower.

I think wahab should cal for fitness test..he is bowling fast.pak need somebody who can bowl fast in world cup
Umar Akmal should be a part of the team as he is a proper batsman at times and a hard hitter also where as Wahab Riaz has got pace which can be very useful in english conditions
