Xiaomi has just launched a Start Trang Telescope that costs only 599 yuan ($89). This is not the first time that the company has forayed into the work of astronomy.
Xiaomi Star Trang Telescope has custom-made aspherical eyepieces of 23mm (21.7x) and 10mm (50x) and both allow for a 60-degree field of view.
The telescope has a high-quality glass lens with a full-surface multi-layer coating that improves the lens’ optical performance and image sharpness.
Another strength of the device is the design. The telescope comes with a reduced size which makes it easy to transport and use. The AZ theodolite design has intimate fixed-point scales, which spare the complicated operation of other brackets.
Anybody, even a primary school student, can easily adjust the telescope and watch the near meadows or distant mountains. The Xiaomi Star Trang Telescope features a stainless steel tripod that is durable and sturdy.
It also has accessory discs that protect the eyepieces and accessories against damage. There is also a carry backpack having custom-made pearl cotton lining to ensure the protection of the device.
The backpack also comes with double webbing handles to allow for a comfortable grip.
Xiaomi is expected to put the telescope up for sale on April 9 during the Mi Fan Festival along with other products.
