Oppo Launches Reno and Reno 10x Zoom with Sharkfin Popup Cameras

Oppo’s new sub-brand Reno has gone official with the launch of Oppo Reno standard edition and Oppo Reno 10X zoom edition smartphones. The Oppo Reno 10X zoom comes with flagship specifications.

Both the phones have been unveiled in China and are expected to launch globally on 24th April. Oppo is also releasing a 5G variant of its Reno series sometime in May.

Design and Display

Oppo Reno 10X Zoom

The Oppo Reno 10X zoom comes with a glass and aluminum alloy back and a notch-less screen. It is available in two colors: Fog Sea Green and Extreme Night Black hues. This flagship model offers a 6.65-inch Super AMOLED display with a Full HD+ (2340 x 1080) resolution and a 91.3 percent screen to body ratio.

Coming to the standard edition, it features a 6.4-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Like Oppo Reno 10X zoom, this phone also has a glass aluminum alloy body and comes in Fog Sea Green, Extreme Night Black, Nebula Purple, and Pink Mist colors.

Both the smartphones are protected with Gorilla Glass 6 and come with an on-screen fingerprint sensor.

Internals and Storage

Oppo Reno 10X is powered by an octa-core, top of the line Snapdragon 855 SoC. On the other hand, the standard edition comes with a Snapdragon 710 SoC. Both phones have three variants with a maximum of 8 GB RAM and Maximum built-in memory of 256 GB. Both phones also have expandable memory options.

Cameras

Oppo Reno 10X’s best feature is its camera. It features a shark fin pop up selfie camera (pops up diagonally) with a 16 MP sensor and a flash beside it. The rear houses a triple sensor camera with a 48 MP main sensor, 8 MP ultra-wide lens, and a 13 MP Periscope camera.

The standard edition comes with a simple 16 MP pop up selfie camera and dual-sensor rear camera with a 48 MP main sensor and 5 MP secondary sensor.

Battery and Pricing

Oppo Reno 10X comes with a 4,065 mAh battery that has Oppo’s patented VOOC 3.0 fast charging enabled. For dissipating heat generated by the fast charging, the phone comes with a copper tube heatsink. Prices of this flagship model’s variants are:
