PIA Adds Two New Routes from Islamabad & Lahore to Muscat

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has added two new Muscat-bound routes in its operations plan.

PIA has already started its flights from Lahore to Muscat which is scheduled to fly three times a week. Now, the flag carrier is going to add another Muscat-bound route that kickstarts from Islamabad. This route will start operating from April 23. This route will also get three flights a week.

According to PIA’s country manager in Oman, Shahzad Paracha, the new destinations have been added to the national carrier’s existing routes at the start of this month.

PIA has won the longest operating carrier award in Oman at the Oman Airport Awards 2019. The airline runs a weekly flight to Peshawar and flies twice to Gwadar, Sialkot, and Turbat in Pakistan from Muscat International Airport.

According to the Pakistani nationals residing in Muscat, the addition of new routes has made their life easier, as the choice for a direct flight to Lahore and Islamabad is quite limited otherwise.
