Govt Announces Office Timings for Ramadan 2019

The federal government has announced office timings for the holy month of Ramadan, expected to begin from Thursday, May 7.

A notification issued from the PM House said that Ramadan timings for the offices working five days a week would be 09:00 AM to 03:30 PM (from Monday to Thursday) while the schedule for offices running six days a week will be 09:00 AM to 02:00 PM (Monday to Thursday & Saturday).

The offices shall close at 01:00 PM on Fridays, it added.

Earlier on Friday, a prediction came from the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) suggesting that the Ramadan moon is likely to be sighted on the evening of Monday, May 6.

A statement from the department said, the new moon of Ramadan, 1440 AH will be born on crossing conjunction point at 03:45 Pakistan Standard Time (PST) on Sunday, May 5.

“The moon will be sighted on the evening of Monday, May 6 and the holy month of Ramadan is most likely to start on May 7,” it said, adding that the chances of Ramadan moon sighting on the evening of May 05, i.e., 29 Shaaban were minimal.


  • It should be implement for all office / factory / banks / etc
    Time should be same for general duty.

  • This government had lost its expectations after issuing notification regarding office timings during ramzan. I am sorry to say that now I am not supporter of this government. A mad and totally unplanned government.

    • Why take action.. its good for general public…. there was no fixed working hours during the times of prophet Mohammad.

      These are very hard economic times.. so work hard.. people are so lazy
