Vivo Z3X Launched With Decent Specs for $180

BBK’s subsidiary Vivo has been keeping itself busy over the past few months. More than a few Vivo phones have been listed on TENAA, the Chinese regulatory authority. One of these phones was spotted last week and has been made official this week under the name Vivo Z3X.

In this mid-range phone, Vivo has ditched thin bezels and the pop-up selfie camera. It has gone old-school with the notch and bezels, but the phone still has a modern look to it.

Vivo Z3X seems to borrow its internal and external specifications from Vivo Z1 except for the selfie camera.

Design and Display

We see nothing new here in terms of design, Vivo Z3X features the generic glossy plastic finish, a dual sensor camera vertically arranged on the back with a fingerprint sensor, slightly thick bezels and a notch that houses the selfie camera.

Coming to the screen, we have a 6.26-inch IPS display featuring Full HD+ (1080 x 2280) resolution and 403 ppi pixel density. It is available in Red, purple and black colors.

Internal and Storage

The phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 660 processor clocked at 1.95 GHz and paired with Adreno 512 GPU. The phone comes in only one RAM/storage variant, featuring 4 GB RAM and 64 GB built-in memory. It has a dedicated microSD slot for memory expansion.

The phone runs on Funtouch OS 9 flavored Android 9.0 Pie. The phone also has several gaming features including game turbo and system turbo.

Cameras

At the rear, we have a dual AI camera set up with a 13 MP and 2 MP sensor combination. At the front, we have a 16 MP single sensor camera sitting in the notch.

Battery and Pricing

The whole package is fueled by a reasonable 3,260 Li-ion battery. We are unsure if it has fast charging enabled or not.
