Shahid Afridi Sued by Master Beverages for Damages Worth Rs. 60 Million

Former Pakistan captain, Shahid Afridi has been making the headlines for his controversial remarks in his biography, Game Changer.

While the concerned cricketers are preparing their responses to the claims made by Afridi, he himself finds himself in hot waters following a violation of an agreement with Master Beverages and Foods Limited.

Master Beverages and Foods Limited has sued the 39-year-old for damages worth Rs 60,000,000 and a car. Shahid Afridi was the brand ambassador for Master Cola.

According to the details, the terms of his agreement with the company do not allow him to sign another contract for brand ambassadorship for a cempetitor, however, the lawsuit claims that the cricketer has secretly signed another agreement.

Master Beverages and Foods Limited has filed its case with the Sindh High Court (SHC), which has summoned the star all-rounder on 28th May to submit his answer to the claims made by the plaintiff.

The court has directed Afridi to file his written statement before the said date.
