Sources close to the cricketer have revealed that the all-rounder was infected from dental instruments following his visit to a local dentist in Rawalpindi a few days after the squad announcement for World Cup.
While the virus takes three months to be fully treated, he can still make it to the World Cup and the team management is hopeful of a speedy recovery. According to ICC, any team can make changes to its squad by 23rd May, and it remains to be seen whether the 20-year-old can present full fitness for the mega event by that time.
