Last month, we talked about the rumors and leaks surfacing around OnePlus’s latest flagship phone, OnePlus 7. And now that finally, all the details have leaked, we get to talk about the OnePlus flagship in detail.
The newly revealed detailed specifications confirm a lot of leaks and disclose lots of new details not just for the OnePlus 7, but also for the OnePlus 7 Pro.
The general appearance of the two phones is quite similar. The OnePlus 7 Pro went for the full-screen display by getting rid of the notch and putting the selfie camera in a pop-up slider.
The only difference in the appearance of the two screens is the waterdrop notch that the vanilla OnePlus 7 has on the top which houses the front-facing selfie camera.
Moreover, OnePlus 7 Pro’s screen is slightly bigger (6.6 inches) and has a 2k screen resolution with a screen to body ratio of 87.6%. Both of the phones have optic AMOLED displays.
As the rumors said, the two phones do have in-display fingerprint sensors.
There’s not much difference to be seen here. Both the devices will come with Android Pie based Oxygen OS. You get the same SD855 chipset.
There’s no microSD card slot on either of the phones, but its highly unlikely you’ll be needing any more storage.
The primary camera on the phones is the same 48MP shooter with a telephoto camera to go along with it, but the Pro variant has a third ultrawide lens as well.
You can record in several different resolutions with the OnePlus 7. The pop-up selfie camera meanwhile is not really an upgrade and mostly only serves the purpose of making the phone completely full-screen.
Though the two phones do have 4000mAh or more when it comes to battery capacity. The phones are expected to bring improved fast charging as well.
There’s no word on the pricing yet.
Do keep in mind that these are still just leaks and the phones will be officially unveiled on May 14th.
