Banks to Remain Closed for Public Dealings on 1st Ramadan: SBP

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced in a statement that it will remain closed for public dealings on 1st Ramazan, i.e., May 7, 2019 (today).

As usual, the first day of the holy month will be observed as a Bank Holiday for the deduction of Zakat. Therefore, all conventional banks, Microfinance Banks (MFBs), and Development Financial Institutions (DFI) will be closed for public dealings on the said date.

SBP also stated that all employees of the banks/DFIs/MFBs will attend the office tomorrow as usual for the annual closing.
