Samsung Galaxy Fold has been making headlines before and even after the release of the first batch of samples, being the first major foldable phone ever.
Things were good until reports of the faulty inner display emerged, most of the reviewers had the phone fail on them, leading to a lot of bad press. So much for the star-studded launch of the new flagship.
In the wake of this situation, Samsung recalled the initial batch and postponed the launch. Their plan was to look into the issues and re-launch them shortly after evaluation, however, Samsung is now going to indefinitely delay the launch.
If you recall, the Galaxy Fold was available for pre-order on their official site. All the customers who have pre-booked the phone have received an email from Samsung saying that it is working on making the phone better and will send out details about the progress in the coming weeks.
Re-Confirming Pre-Orders
The pre-order will be canceled in case the user does not request otherwise. The validity of pre-order will be till the end of the month, by then if the user does not request to extend the time period or Samsung is not able to ship the phones, the pre-orders will be canceled.
If a user wants to cancel the order beforehand, he/she can do so from Samsung’s official website. Common sense says that everyone should wait for the phone launch, look at the reviews and then order the phone. Pre-ordering isn’t always a good idea.
In case you cancel your pre-order, you will be charged nothing unless Samsung ships out your phone before cancellation.
