OnePlus is preparing for its mega launch event of its long-awaited OnePlus 7 and 7 Pro. The two phones will be launched tomorrow.
Even though we know a lot of what the OnePlus 7 has to offer (Snapdragon 855, pop-up camera, etc) thanks to the numerous leaks and teasers, we still don’t know anything about the display.
Just recently, TechRadar’s Matt Swider tweeted images of a teaser poster giving away the display specifications of OnePlus 7 Pro.
This arrived today at the @futureplc @techradar office: I wonder what @oneplus @OnePlus_USA @PeteLau will launch Tuesday 🤔🤔🤔 #oneplus7pro #tease pic.twitter.com/YHL3SB0q49

OnePlus 7 Pro Display
The device will reportedly sport a 6.67-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED display. According to the company’s CEO, Pete Lau, this device will provide a smooth and fast user experience. He said, “A whole new display which has to be seen to be believed.”
The poster reveals an impressive refresh rate of 90 Hz. For comparison, the different variants of the Samsung Galaxy S10 feature a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Based on a statement from Lau, the feature was not decided on due to popular demand, it was just the better option. This refresh rate will offer users a smooth experience, especially for gamers.
As per the leaked images, the handset will offer a curved display and might arrive in three colors: Almond, nebula blue, mirror grey.
Other Specifications
The handset is most likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855. If we believe the rumors, it will boast triple rear cameras with a 48 MP main camera.
Since OnePlus has worked its way towards a notch less display, the selfie camera is housed in a pop-up mechanism which will be a single sensor 16 MP snapper. It will be powered by a 4000 mAh battery with 30W fast charging.
Pricing
Looking at the above-mentioned features, the handset sounds pretty expensive. According to the leakster Ishan Agarwal, who has already posted a number of leaks for OnePlus 7, OnePlus will charge €749 for 8 GB/256 GB variant of the OnePlus 7 pro. The maxed-out version with 12 GB RAM and 256 GB in-built storage will most probably cost €819.
If we compare the prices with S10e, it costs €759. Keep in mind that Apple’s iPhone XR is also in the same price range. And you’ll be able to get a no-compromise OnePlus 7 Pro for that price, not a bad deal.
