5-Day Public Holiday Expected on Eid-ul-Fitr 2019

Pakistani students and office workers are in for a treat at the end of Ramazan.

According to the met department, 5 public holidays are expected on Eid-ul-Fitr as Shawwal moon is likely to be sighted on 4th June. If this happens, Eid-ul-Fitr will fall on Wednesday, 5th June.

With three usual Eid holidays on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the adjoining weekend will mean a total of 5 holidays for government, semi-government and private organizations and institutions.

Summer vacations for most schools are also expected to start right before Eid ul Fitr.

Experts are predicting that the crescent is expected to be sighted after 29 days of Ramazan.

However, if Shawwal begins on 6th June i.e. after 30th Ramazan, there will be 4 public holidays.
