Lenovo Launches Z6 Youth Edition With Triple Cameras for $174

After the successful launch of its flagship Z6 Pro, Lenovo has decided to unveil a scaled-down version of the phone at a reasonable price called Lenovo Z6 youth, or Z6 Lite.

The handset is packed with a tall aspect ratio screen, a large battery, and a triple sensor rear camera. All this is available at a mere $174.

Design and Display

Lenovo Z6 Youth Edition features a generic design. The construction is done using roll cage magnesium alloy which is also found on Lenovo’s ThinkPad Notebooks. On the back, the handset features a vertically arranged triple sensor camera next to a fingerprint sensor. It is available in two colors: Knight Black which has a textured finish and Stardust that has a gradient finish.

Moving on to the front, the first thing we see is the typical dew drop notch where the selfie camera sits. It features a 6.3-inch display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio and Full HD+ (2340 x 1080) resolution. The display comes with Dolby Vision and HDR10.

Internal and Storage

On the inside, the Z6 Youth Edition has a Snapdragon 710 SoC. The phone comes in three variants: 4GB/64GB, 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. The internal memory is expandable up to 256 GB using a memory card.

It runs on ZUI 11 out of the box based on Android 9.0 Pie.

Cameras

Except for some AI tricks, Z6 Youth Edition does not offer much in this area. The triple sensor rear camera comes with a 16 MP main sensor, an 8 MP telephoto lens, and a 5 MP ultra-wide sensor. It also boasts 8x hybrid zoom.

Meanwhile, on the front, there’s a lone 16 MP snapper.

Battery and Price

Z6 Youth Edition’s battery is arguably its best feature, coming in at 4,050 mAh with 15W fast charging support.

The base variant 4GB/64GB comes at a price of $174. The other two variants 6GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB are priced at $203 and $246 respectively.
