Over 2 Million Tourists Went to KP in Eid Holidays

The beautiful scenery and waterfalls in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa attracted millions of tourists from all over the country during Eid holidays.

According to the statistics released from the provincial ministry of tourism, as many as two million tourists from different regions turned to various tourist attractions in KP, especially in Galiyat, Swat, Kumrat and Abbottabad.

Provincial minister for tourism Atif Khan credited this result to the excellent strategy of the government to promote tourism in the province.

In a tweet late on Sunday, Atif revealed that Swat remained the most attractive tourist destination for families and individuals. As many as one million tourists visited the valley during Eid holidays.

The tweet further revealed that between Wednesday to Saturday, 400,000 people visited Galiyat, 250,000 turned to Chitral, 200,000 to Naran, and as many tourists picked Kumrat as their holiday destination.

Provincial Minister KP government Shahram Khan Tarakai said that he visited Nathia Gali, Abbottabad, and other areas to review different facilities and cleanliness arrangements there.
