Huawei Launches MediaPad M6 With 2K Displays, High Quality Audio

At a recent launch event, Huawei also unveiled MediaPad M6 alongside Nova 5 phones. The tablet was backed up by a few leaks here and there which is why we knew it would come in two variants.

The slate comes in two different sizes with the only difference between them being the battery size. Apart from that, both are identical in every aspect.

Let’s take a closer look at the features, specs, and design:

Design and Display

The tablet has a generic slate design with a plain metallic body. Both, 10.8-inch and 8.4-inch models come with a 2K display. Huawei claims to have used a new display technology that reduces visual strain. It makes sense, considering that it’s a media consumption tablet which will be used for hours at a time.

The 10.8-inch variant comes in black and champagne gold colors while the 8.4-inch variant will only be sold in champagne gold color.

Internal and Storage

Both the variants are powered by the octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 980 chipset with dual NPU topped with Mali-G76 GPU and GPU Turbo 3.0 support. They come in two memory variants with basic variant featuring 4GB RAM and 64 GB memory. The maxed-out variant sports 4GB RAM and 128 GB built-in storage.

The high-performance audio solutions are the best feature of both these tablets. They come with four-channel speakers that provide a powerful yet crisp sound. The speakers are tuned by Harman Kardon for an ample low-frequency output.

Both the tablets run on Android 9.0 Pie topped with EMUI 9.1.

Cameras

Most of the time tablets don’t have good camera options. This one is no different. At the back, it has a single 13 MP camera and at the front, it has an 8 MP shooter.

Battery and Pricing

Apart from screen size, the second thing these tablets differ in is the battery size. The 8.4-inch variant comes with a reasonable 6100 mAh capacity and the 10.8-inch tablet comes with a 7500 mAh battery.

If we consider all the variant of both tablets with Wi-Fi and with data, there are about eight of them. The price tags are as follows.

The Huawei MediaPad M6 10.8-inch variant will be available for pre-sales on 21^st June and will go live on 10^th July. On the other hand, the Huawei MediaPad M6 8.4-inch model will go on pre-sale by 10^th July and will go live by 20^th July.
