The lavish Governor House will now serve as a resort where the general public can now pay to stay. This will mark the first time the Governor House in Murree will be used for unofficial purposes, and it will help promote tourism in the country, the CM added.
PTI government has been making efforts to boost the tourism industry in the country and until now 177 rest houses and guest houses have been opened for public by the Punjab government, Buzdar told the media.
Without further ado, let’s have a look at how the previous rulers used to stay at such extravagant government buildings.
The rent at the Governor House Murree is yet to be revealed. According to the reports, more than Rs 60 Crores were spent just on its renovation during the previous government’s tenure.
