Huawei Mate 30 Shows Up in a Live Image

After Samsung Galaxy Note 10’s reveal, all eyes are on the upcoming flagship phones from Apple, Google, and Huawei.

Yesterday, Huawei Mate 30 Pro was spotted in public transport, two weeks after it showed up in live photos for the first time. Only this time, we saw a clearer image of the front. Sadly, we didn’t get to see what the back looks like since it was covered with a case.

We aren’t sure if this is a part of Huawei purposely “leaking” stuff or if it’s actually a coincidence. Anyways, the recent leak gives us more insight into Mate 30’s design.

The smartphone, following in the Mate 20 Pro’s footsteps, will feature a notched display with curved edges on both sides. It will have a 6.7-inch OLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Despite the trending full-screen display, Huawei has opted for a wide notch as it wants to include an upgraded version of its 3D facial recognition system. Rumors claim that the new system will rival the upcoming iPhone 11 in accuracy and reliability.

The huge notch on the Mate 30 is expected to house a single or dual sensor selfie camera. We’ll see Sound-on-Display technology on the Mate 30 again, as it won’t have a regular earpiece.

The new leak also reveals a thinner aluminum frame, an elongated volume rocker and accented power key on the right. Apart from a thick notch, the smartphone features extremely thin bezels on the sides.

As far as the rear is concerned, rumors say the smartphone will feature triple sensor rear cameras on a circular module.

Note that all of this is leaked/rumored info, so take it with a grain of salt.
