France to Give Special Training to Punjab Police in October

A two-member French delegation has met with Inspector-General Police (IGP) Arif Nawaz Khan to discuss better policing and the training required for it.

The team consisted of Police Attache Emmanuel Tombolato and Deputy Police Attache Jean-Christophe Hilaire. The meeting agreed that the French experts will provide special training to Punjab Police.

A hand out has revealed that 30 policemen will receive training in hostage situations, sniper skills, and special operations. The training will commence on October 2019 at the Elite Training Center in Bedian.

The French delegation also acknowledged the efforts of Punjab Police in the fight against the terrorists and employing modern technology for crime control.

The delegation said professional cooperation with Punjab Police will be increased. IG Police told the delegation that they prioritize capacity building based on modern standards. They also welcome cooperation with other countries in this regard.

The police chief also said that the training syllabus of Punjab Police has been upgraded, keeping contemporary challenges in view.

Senior officials of Punjab Police were also present in the meeting.


  • Would be better if a few members from other 3 provinces are also added in the first batch. All Pakistan Police needs better training.

  • With Advance Training there is also need to establish True moral values. Sir I also criticize Punjab police that police only meet to general public in case of murder, conceal and so on such cases. This give a horrible picture of police. Why Police not go to college ,universities and so other publice occasion to tell people that what is right what is wrong. I have sympathy to punjab police and gentle citizen of pakistan
