Vivo’s first Snapdragon 855+ smartphones, Vivo iQOO Pro 4G and Vivo iQOO Pro 5G have been officially launched and the 5G variant is one of the cheapest 5G enabled smartphones on the market. This gaming-oriented smartphone is an upgraded variant of the Vivo iQOO premium gaming smartphone launched earlier in China.
Both smartphones are nearly identical when it comes to specifications. The only main difference between them is network connectivity.
Unlike most gaming-oriented smartphones, we don’t see any loud features in these two. Vivo has gone with a subtle approach when it comes to the design and has added a crafty paint job with tightly packed white lines at the back (for both blue and black color variants). Both the variants are offered in Racing Black and Le mans Blue colors.
At the front, the smartphones come with a 6.41″ AMOLED display with 1080p resolution, featuring a waterdrop notch, 402 PPI pixel density, and an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Under the hood, as mentioned earlier, both the smartphones are powered by snapdragon 855+ SoC and 8 or 12 GB of RAM for both models.
The Vivo iQOO Pro 4G is offered in two variants:
The Vivo iQOO Pro 5G is offered in three variants:
Software-wise, both the smartphones feature Funtouch 9 flavored Android 9.0 Pie.
Both the models come with a triple camera setup featuring a 48 MP main sensor, 12 MP ultra-wide sensor, and 2 MP depth sensor. The single selfie camera is a 12 MP shooter.
Vivo iQOO Pro 4G and Vivo iQOO Pro 5G, both come with a 4500 mAh battery backed by 44W of ultra-fast charging. We have seen gaming phones with a better battery capacity but considering the price these smartphones are offered at, we cannot complain.
The pricing of both models and their respective variants are:

Vivo iQOO Pro 5G
The 4G model is currently available for pre-order in China and will start shipping by 30th August, while the 5G model is going on pre-sale tomorrow.
