Realme Confirms a New Smartphone Series is Coming in September

Realme just announced two new quad-camera smartphones – the Realme 5 and the Realme 5 Pro. They also teased the Realme XT, which is going to be the company’s first phone to feature a 64MP camera.

Now the company has taken to Weibo to tease yet another upcoming smartphone series. The teaser poster shows a Queen of Hearts playing card under a magnifying glass with the letter Q ripped off, signifying that the new series may be called the Realme Q.

The image also reveals a September 4 release date alongside the number “119”. Just like the Realme 5 series, this number could mean that there maybe= be a 119-degree FOV wide-angle camera with a primary lens which could be 48MP or higher.

However, keep in mind that these are assumptions and speculation, the company might announce something completely different at the upcoming IFA 2019 conference.

That is about all we know about the Realme Q series so far, but we expect to hear more in the official announcement next month.

  • Also Q was the initial used for the new release of Android but got pulled out as Google is no longer using dessert names. So this could mean they are bringing Android 10 (not Q anymore) to some of their devices in September.
