Govt Increases Duration of Gas Bill Payments to 15 Days

The federal government has increased the monthly duration of gas bill payments to 15 days from seven days.

Advisor to Prime Minister on Petroleum Division, Nadeem Babar made this announcement.

While addressing a press conference, Babar said that the department will ensure the delivery of gas bills within two days to make bill payment convenient for the consumers.

He said that the government is going to launch an awareness campaign on gas consumption from September.

“We will inform people about the appropriate quantity of gas to be used for geysers,” Babar said, adding that the government is ready to fix timers on geysers if the people want them to.

Nadeem Babar also mentioned the cabinet’s decision to provide industrial gas connections within 30 days of application.

He also highlighted that the government is going to introduce a new policy on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) next month.

“Now government’s Petroleum Departments will not provide LPG based on the quota system, but will rather adopt open transplant liter system,” Babar said.

The advisor to PM said the petroleum department is working on improving the production of LPG.
