Pakistan Beats India in Mobile Internet Speeds: Report

According to the latest edition of the Speedtest Global Index by Ookla, Pakistan has beaten its neighbor India in mobile internet speeds for the month of July.

Pakistan has been ranked at 116th spot with an average download speed of 13.55 Mbps whereas India lags behind at 130th place with 10.63 Mbps. For Pakistan, the upload speed was recorded at 9.93 Mbps on average.

Both countries have lost points in the index with Pakistan and India’s ranking dipping by 2 and 4 slots respectively.

According to Ookla,

The results are updated mid-month for the previous month. January 1, 2019, onward countries must have at least 300 unique user results for mobile or fixed broadband to be ranked in either category.

The global average for mobile internet across 144 countries was 27.69 Mbps download speed whereas the upload speed was recorded at 10.78 Mbps.
