CAA Bans Smartphones in Airport Lounges and Aprons

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has banned smartphones in lounges and aprons of all national airports. This decision was announced via a notification issued on Friday.

According to the notification, passengers will not be allowed to use smartphones in certain areas of the airports, including the apron and lounges.

“All addresses are hereby informed that henceforth, the use of mobile phones in the restricted areas, i.e., Apron and Lounges, etc. is strictly prohibited,” the notification reads.

It warns that your Airport Entry Pass will be confiscated if you don’t comply and the matter will be taken up with the higher authorities of the concerned department/functionary.

The aviation authority has informed all managers and officials of national airports in this regard.

  • Misleading.

    1. The notification was addressed to the employees.
    2. The notification was addressed from the management of Peshawar airport.
    3. Nowhere does it say passengers are not allowed. That, in itself, is ludicrous and illogical. It was done to prevent employees from recording the viral video.

Employees aren’t allowed phones – but us passengers are.

  • This decision took in a very aggressive way please evaluate and ponder this notification made by ZAA
