Sri Lanka Look to Seal the Series in 2nd T20I Against Unbalanced Pakistan Team

After a hammering in the first T20I, the number one team in the world, Pakistan, will look for answers as they take on a second-string but high on morale, Sri Lanka at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium tonight.

Here’s what you need to know about the 2nd Pakistan vs Sri Lanka T20I:

  • Time: 6:30 pm
  • Venue: Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

Probable Playing XIs

Pakistan: Ahmed Shehzad, Babar Azam, Umar Akmal, Sarfaraz Ahmed (C) (WK), Iftikhar Ahmed, Asif Ali, Imad Wasim, Faheem Ashraf, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Amir, Mohammad Hasnain

Despite a poor return to the national side, Umar Akmal or Ahmed Shehzad are still to feature in the playing XI. There’s a chance that Asif Ali might make way for Fakhar Zaman.

Sri Lanka:  Danushka Gunathilaka, Avishka Fernando, Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Shehan Jayasuriya, Minod Bhanuka (WK), Dasun Shanaka (C), Wanindu Hasaranga, Isuru Udana, Lakshan Sandakan, Kasun Rajitha, Nuwan Pradeep

After easily defeating a tough opposition, Sri Lanka will look to field the same XI they opted for in the first T20I.

New-Look Sri Lanka will have their eyes on the trophy while Pakistan will be hoping to bounce back and prove their authority at the top of T20I rankings.

If Pakistan loses to Sri Lanka, it will be the first bilateral series win for the away side against the Green Shirts.
