Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing has arrested a man accused of blackmailing a woman with inappropriate pictures.
The FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing received a complaint from the woman, that a man named Pervaiz has been blackmailing her with inappropriate pictures.
After tracing the number, the Cyber Crime team raided a house in Lahore’s posh area and arrested the suspect. During the raid, a mobile phone with objectionable material was also recovered.
A blackmailing and extortion case has also been registered against him, and an investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, on Friday, a cybercrime court in Islamabad sentenced an eight-year jail term to a man accused of posting his ex-fiancée’s compromising photos on social media.
He was also directed to pay Rs. 500,000 in damages.
The names of such people and front pose pictures should be made public through print, electronic and social media so that every one should who they are in order to bring shame for them and their family members.
