Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Wing has arrested a man accused of blackmailing a woman with inappropriate pictures.
The FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing received a complaint from the woman, that a man named Pervaiz has been blackmailing her with inappropriate pictures.
After tracing the number, the Cyber Crime team raided a house in Lahore’s posh area and arrested the suspect. During the raid, a mobile phone with objectionable material was also recovered.
A blackmailing and extortion case has also been registered against him, and an investigation is underway.
Meanwhile, on Friday, a cybercrime court in Islamabad sentenced an eight-year jail term to a man accused of posting his ex-fiancée’s compromising photos on social media.
He was also directed to pay Rs. 500,000 in damages.
