Vivo Launches X30 and X30 Pro With 60x Zoom With Flagship Specifications

Vivo’s X series of camera-focused smartphones have been refreshed with the flagship-grade X30 and X30 Pro. Both phones feature identical but premium specifications including 5G connectivity, 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage, 33W fast charging, and a periscope lens that is capable of 60x digital zoom.

Design and Display

The Vivo X30 sports a 6.44-inch Super AMOLED panel, XDR display, full HD screen resolution, in-display fingerprint sensor, and a peak brightness of 1200 nits. It has a tiny punch-hole selfie camera at the top right corner and slim bezels all around, except for the chin.

There are 3 primary camera lenses on the base model, but the Pro variant also includes a periscope lens, making it a quad-camera setup.

Internals and Storage

The X30 series is powered by Samsung’s 8nm Exynos 980 SoC featuring 5G integration that takes up less space and is more power-efficient as well. It is coupled with 8 GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.1 storage that should promise snappy app launching and switching.

The Mali-G76 MP5 GPU is hooked onto a heat pipe to keep the internals cool during gaming.

Cameras

The primary camera features a 64MP main lens, a 32MP telephoto lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and an additional 13MP periscope lens that is exclusive to the X30 Pro. The camera comes with a Super Night Mode that can stitch up to 16 photos to bring visibility in darker settings. There is also Hyper HDR that is built to snap remarkable photos against bright lights and the sun.

The 32-megapixel wide-angle lens at the front is housed in a 3mm punch-hole.

Battery and Pricing

The large 4350 mAh battery can be charged incredibly fast with the 33W flash charge technology through the USB Type C port.

The Vivo X30 5G will cost $471, whereas the X30 Pro 5G will be priced at $571. The two phones will go on sale on December 24 and December 28 respectively.

As mentioned before, the Vivo X30 and X30 Pro have identical specifications with the exception of a periscope lens which is exclusive to Pro.
