Recently, we reported that Xiaomi has dominated the global wearables market in Q3 2019. Despite being on the top, the Chinese tech giant shows no signs of slowing down when it comes to affordable smartwatches with reasonable features and longer battery life.
The company is crowdfunding a new smartwatch on its Youpin platform dubbed Haylou.
Design and Display
The watch has a Fitbit Versa-like vibe. It is built around a 1.3-inch colored LCD square watch face. It weighs 34 grams and measures 0.9 x 35.7 x 11.6 mm. As far as the strap is concerned, it features a 26.3 mm wide silicone one that, like the Mi Band 3 and 4, can be switched with other straps.
The smartwatch features a heart rate monitor, a sleep monitor, and an activity tracker. Apart from this, it comes with an IP68 rating making it dustproof and waterproof up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes.
Moreover, it is capable of functioning between a temperature range of -20 degrees and 45 degrees Celsius. The activity tracker has the ability to track 9 sport modes including running, swimming, cycling, and treadmill.
The smartwatch can connect with smartphone with Android 4.4 or higher and iOS 8 or higher.
Battery and Pricing
Haylou features a 210 mAh battery that will last for 14 days on a single charge.
The best part is, the smartwatch is priced at only $14 as compared to the Mi band 4 that features similar functionality and is priced at $30. It is currently being crowdfunded in China and won’t be available in other countries.
