Gaming smartphones have been rapidly gaining popularity ever since Asus, Blackshark, Razr, and a few others have introduced a diverse variety to choose from. Lenovo is now looking to grab a slice of that pie and is working on its very first gaming smartphone under the Legion brand name.
The Chinese tech firm has set up a new Weibo account where it was revealed that the new phone will carry the Legion brand name.
The reveal in the Chinese text roughly translates to “gaming mobile phone coming soon?”
Lenovo’s Legion lineup has been working on laptops, desktops, gaming cubes, and various other accessories for the gamer demographic. They are now planning to fill the gap of gaming products with a Lenovo Legion gaming smartphone.
Lenovo Vice President Chang Cheng has previously confirmed that the Legion gaming smartphone is meant for 2020, but didn’t reveal a precise time period. The smartphone’s specifications, features, and looks are still unknown.
Although it is interesting to hear about new options coming forth, it remains to be seen how they will fair up against the already booming competition.
We will keep you updated as soon as more is revealed, stay tuned.
