Nearly 97 percent of Pakistan’s population now has access to broadband internet, Minister of State for IT and Telecom Shaza Fatima told the National Assembly Standing Committee on Information Technology on Tuesday.
Briefing lawmakers, the minister said internet usage has grown significantly in recent years as demand for digital services continues to rise across the country.
She said the government increased available mobile spectrum from 274 MHz to 480 MHz after conducting a spectrum auction in March, aimed at improving network capacity and supporting future 5G deployment.
Shaza Fatima also revealed that the average internet user in Pakistan spends Rs285 per month on data services.
She added that the proposed Telecom Amendment Bill would improve the Right of Way (RoW) framework, making it easier to deploy telecom infrastructure and accelerate broadband expansion across the country.

This figure is only Acheived when you factor in Wireless Broadband. if we look at purely Wired Broadband subscribers than I think it’s less than 25% of internet users.
