Zong Conducts the First 5G Video Call of Pakistan

Zong today announced that it has successfully completed South Asia’s first official 5G video call and also reached the mind-boggling speeds of over 1.5GB per second during testing.

This effective test has demonstrated the potential of high-speed internet that will define Pakistan’s digital future and has also cemented Zong’s position as the leader of the digital revolution in the country.

Zong said that its video call was set up over 5G through NSA technology. It further said that international markets such as China, South Korea, Middle east etc have used the same 5G NSA technology to provide best user experience.

Zong also confirmed ProPakistani that the video call was tested on a Huawei Mate 30 pro 5G HS smartphone.

Zong said it is committed to pave the way for more cutting-edge and innovative use-cases in the coming days that will set a benchmark for the industry and build on Zong’s existing technical superiority.
