To maintain the standards of its service and to continue to serve Pakistan in the long term, Swvl moved from its promotional prices of Rs. 50 across routes, to fares that are based on fixed-route prices, ranging from Rs. 100 to Rs. 200.
This revision is due to two main reasons:
- Quality of service: Swvl aims to continue to provide high-quality transport solutions to the people of Pakistan, which consists of comfortable air-conditioned vehicles, on-time departure and arrival and in-ride insurance coverage for the passengers.
- Long term focus: A key reason for mass transit services not flourishing in Pakistan has been the sustainability of the initiatives. Swvl is here to change the way Pakistan moves for the long term and to achieve this, it is important for fares to be in line with costs incurred. It is important to note that Swvl’s transport partners provide assets that need to make a minimum return on investment for it to be a viable business for them.
To cater to an even larger audience, they are planning to introduce lower-cost services and distance-based fares soon.
Furthermore, keeping in mind the alternative modes of transport that people can avail and the distance that our customers travel, the fares aspire to provide the maximum value against each price point.
Swvl has undertaken the responsibility to deliver a reliable, comfortable, and safe service to customers and is looking forward to serving the people of Pakistan for years to come.
Just make fares 50 rupees, or at least in par with uber bikes or bkea… they pick you up from home and still charge half the rupees
I’ll never pick a ride for 100 to 200 fare of a van/bus. This is just like “ufone ki trf se quality ko behtr bananay k liye price increase ki ja rhi hai.” 50 is okay but more than that is unacceptable.
ufone ka naam mat liya karein bhai, dil kurhta hai ……. itne achay packages dete hein jese maut aati ho ……. jahan 50 ke 3gb bhi mil rahe hoan, wahan 175 ka 3gb le ke bethe hote hein ……
Exactly, They have missed many of their customers due to such sudden high charges. On my route from office to home, 50 was also more then other local transport fare charges(i.e. 30rs metro charges) but i preferred this service, now they sudden increased the double, which is totally not fair…

It seems like the initial charge of 50 was just an act of marketing.
Now they are charging 200 and as a subsidy in disguise they are floating around a promo.
For God sake please don’t fool around.
As a user , i use to travel with them, even i use to recommend it to others, now i have quit using it,
Wapas apni gari pai. Jabsai 200 keya hai , mai to ab logoun ko b batata houn , uber fir b behtar hai , ghar sai to pick kar k destination oper utarti hai.
