My overall favorite in Pakistan is Saeed Bhai, but if you talk about this era, then it is Virat Kohli. There is no match for him in this era.

This is not the first time Amir has praised Kohli. Back in 2017, Amir said that everyone knows that Kohli is the best, adding that if he gets a second chance, he punishes you. Talking about Kohli’s record while chasing, the fast bowler said that Kohli is definitely the ‘biggest challenge for bowlers around the world’.

Reflecting on the Asia Cup match against India, Amir said that the Indian captain took the game away from Pakistan when he got a chance early in the innings.

The legendary batsman has also praised Amir on different occasions, terming him to be one of the best bowlers he’s faced.

I would like to compliment Mohammad Amir for the way he bowled. I actually congratulated him while he was bowling. I was so happy to play such an amazing spell. He is a world-class bowler.

The two may be arch-rivals on the field, however, they respect each other off the field, which is evident from their remarks about each other.
