KP & Educational Boards Planning to Conduct Exams This June

KP’s education ministry might hold its intermediate and matriculation exams as the federal government ponders its announcement to cancel them.

An official at the inter-provincial boards’ chairpersons committee said that they would meet with Shafqat Mahmood, Federal Minister for Federal Education and Professional Training. The official added that chairpersons of all the educational boards think that all the exams could be conducted and there weren’t any big issues to stop this.

All the prep to carry out the exams had been made and they could be conducted while following the SOPs to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. They said the exams are most likely to take place from June 15th to 15th July. The Federal education minister has faced huge criticism from all segments of the society for canceling the exams without consulting the educational boards.

To rectify this issue, the inter-provincial boards’ chairpersons committee will meet and devise a policy to organize the exams. They added that there is a likely possibility that the Federal Minister might take back this move and the exams could take place.

The move had led to confusion as there were students who had failed some of their exams and had canceled their examination papers in hopes of getting more marks in the next exams. Then there was the issue of the exam fee which had already been collected.
