Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority (PCAA) will pay advance salaries to its employees ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr 2020. This was announced in a written order issued by the Director of Human Resources on Wednesday.
The notification highlights that the salaries of the aviation employees will be paid by May 18.
“We have taken the decision to pay salaries on May 18 rather than on the first of June 01,” the notification said. It was, however, silent about the pensioners.
The aviation authority is the first independent department and the fourth after the federal, Sindh and KP governments to have announced the salary disbursement before Eid.
On Tuesday, the KP finance ministry directed allowance and advance salaries to its employees and pensions to retired ones to be paid by May 20.
Meanwhile, the federal government will pay salaries and pensions a day late on May 21. An announcement in this regard was made by the Accountant General of Pakistan (AGP) as early as May 4.
Sindh government, on the other hand, will release advance salaries on May 18. The provincial finance ministry announced this on May 6.
The notification mentioned that it will transfer complete monthly salaries along with allowances on May 18, adding that this is also true for employees working as work-charge employees in the government.
