Pak Army Takes Down Indian Spy Drone in Azad Kashmir

Pakistan Army has downed another Indian spy drone close to the Line of Control (LoC) for violation of airspace, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed.

According to the ISPR, the Indian drone had intruded about 650 meters inside Pakistan’s territory near the Rakhchikri sector at LoC. The drone was engaged in aerial photography when it was brought down in a swift retort by Pakistan Army, the military wing said.

In a similar development last month, Pakistan Army shot down India’s surveillance drone near Sankh Sector. The incident occurred on April 9 when an Indian spy quadcopter entered about 600 meters for surveillance purposes.

Commenting on the development, the ISPR office had said that such unwarranted actions from the Indian side will not be tolerated.

Such airspace invasions from the other side of the border have become a frequent recurrence, especially after February 27, 2019, when Pakistan Air Force shot down two Indian aircraft in a rare airborne battle over airspace violation.
