Sindh government has annulled the notification that authorized Peoples University of Medical and Health Sciences for Women (PUMHS) in Shaheed Benazirabad to conduct entry tests for all medical colleges and universities in the province.
According to the official notification issued by the Sindh Health Department, the authorization of PUMHS to organize MBBS and BDS entry tests in Sindh has been revoked with immediate effect.

Earlier this month, the Sindh government had modified the admission policy of medical colleges and universities and notified PUMHS as the organization solely responsible for conducting medical entry tests for the academic session 2020-21.
MQM-P Parliamentary Leader in Sindh Assembly Kanwar Naveed Jameel had said that the decision is based on prejudice towards the urban population of Sindh and raised questions over the credibility of PUMHS and entire admission process.

He had demanded the Sindh government to reverse the notification and restore the admission policy for medical colleges and universities to its previous status.
