Xiaomi, continuing its product launching spree, has launched the Haylou T16 true-wireless earphones with active noise cancellation support on its crowdfunding platform Youpin.
The earbuds, like most Xiaomi TWS earbuds, come with Bluetooth 5.0 chip, USB-C charging, 600mAh charging case, and a low latency mode to reduce delays while playing games.
However, these three factors set the Haylou T16 TWS Earphones from other products in a similar price bracket:
Noise Cancellation
T16 uses front and rear dual feedback microphones. According to the company, these microphones actively monitor external noises and generates correction signals. They can provide as much as 35dB noise reduction depth.
Apart from this, the earbuds come with three noise cancellation modes:
- Transparent: Also called the ambient mode. It transmits ambient sound clearly to the ear, and the human voice can be easily heard when talking.
- Noise Cancellation: This mode actively reduces the surrounding noises.
- Outdoor: This mode is mainly for reducing wind noise during outdoor activities such as running and cycling.

CCAW voice coil
The earphones are equipped with a CCAW voice coil that is usually found in expensive earphones. The coil is topped with acoustic golden curve tuning to provide a good beat and high-quality music.
Wireless charging
Haylou T16 is one of the few earbuds sets that support wireless charging. However, it does not come with a wireless charger in its case. It can also be charged using a USB Type-C cable.
T16 is currently being crowdfunded on Youpin for $40.
