Earlier this month, a OnePlus handset powered by a Snapdragon 690 mobile platform was spotted on Geekbench. At the time, it was speculated that the smartphone was the upcoming Nord. However, according to a recent report by XDA Developers, the handset is a different phone powered by Snapdragon 690, belonging to the Nord lineup.

While scouring through OxygenOS 10.5, available on the OnePlus Nord, XDA Developers found references to a mysterious OnePlus phone that is codenamed “Billie.” The screenshot and model number tags refer to smartphone under the model number “BE2025”, “BE2026”, “BE2028”, and “BE2029” powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 690. Moreover, the AC and BE in codenames translate into Avicii and Billie. This indicates that the smartphone will be launched in two variants.

In other news, despite announcing that the OnePlus Nord will not launch in America. OnePlus CEO Carl Pei, while talking to wired, revealed that a Nord-series smartphone will launch in the States later this year. There are speculations that the upcoming phone may be the already OnePlus Nord with slight modifications for the US or maybe a different phone entirely.
