Realme has just announced its latest 5G smartphones. Two of them, Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro, belong to the premium segment while the Realme V3 is a budget-friendly smartphone with toned down specifications.
Design and Display
Design-wise, the Realme X7 and Realme X7 Pro have a similar form factor. Like most Chinese smartphones, these two also borrow most of their design features from Samsung Galaxy S20.
The Realme X7 is built around a 6.4-inch AMOLED panel with 180 Hz touch sampling rate and 1080p resolution. Its maxed-out sibling, the X7 Pro, features a 6.55-inch AMOLED display with 1080p resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 240Hz touch sampling rate.
The Realme V3, on the other hand, sports a Huawei Nova 7-inspired design and comes with a 6.5-inch LCD panel featuring a waterdrop notch and 720p resolution.
Internals and Storage
All the mentioned smartphones are powered by MediaTek Dimensity chipsets. The Realme X7 comes with Mediatek Dimensity 800U chipset topped with 6 GB or 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB onboard storage.
The X7 Pro is fueled by MediaTek’s top of the line Dimensity 1000+ SoC accompanied by 6 GB or 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB onboard storage. Unlike its toned down sibling, the smartphone also comes with a vapor chamber that can lower the core temperature by up to 10C.
The V3 is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 720 with 6 GB or 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB onboard storage.
Cameras
Camera-wise, the Realme X7, and X7 Pro, sport identical sensors. They both come with quad-sensor rear cameras featuring 64MP f/1.8 main + 8 MP f/2.3 ultrawide + 2 MP B/W sensor for portrait shots + 2 MP macro cam configuration. For selfies, the smartphones are equipped with a single 32 MP shooter.
Since Realme V3 belongs to the entry-level tier, it does not come with camera specs similar to the other two. The smartphone features a triple sensor rear camera with 13 MP and two 2 MP f/2.4 cams – one for close-up shots and the other for portrait shots.
