Punjab Govt. Issues A COVID-19 Awareness Booklet For Students

Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department (PSHD) Punjab has published a COVID-19 awareness booklet for students to ensure their safety once schools reopen.

Titled “Let’s Get Back to School,” the awareness booklet comprises of symptoms and modes of transmission of COVID-19 and precautionary measures against it. It also includes detailed and correct methods of washing hands and wearing face masks.

The booklet states that students should notify their teachers in case one experiences symptoms such as difficulty in breathing, fatigue, fever, headache, and cough.

It also recommends students to wear face masks during school time, avoid touching their face and other objects around them unnecessarily, observe considerable distance from class fellows, ensure frequent hand washing, bring their lunch from home, and avoid sharing lunch and borrowing of stationery items.

The booklet also contains a special section for parents, advising them to teach their children about the importance of wearing face masks, washing hands, maintaining distance from class fellows to avoid contracting the Coronavirus.

It also consists of special interactive exercises for the students to make the learning process regarding Coronavirus more interesting.

Secretary PSHD, Muhammad Usman, has said that

Although the number of Coronavirus cases has declined, the virus is still present out there. We must exercise caution until an effective vaccine against COVID-19 becomes widely available.
