ICT Sector Holds Great Potential for Jobs and Revenue Generation

Prime Minister Imran Khan has asserted that the government has a special focus on the Information and Communication Technology (ICT), saying that the sector has tremendous potential for jobs and revenue generation.

The premier expressed these views while addressing a seminar on ‘Resetting & Rebooting Pakistan’s ICT Sector’ at the National Defence University (NDU), Islamabad.

We need to focus on our youth’s skill development.

The seminar, convened to discuss the scope and development of the ICT sector, was attended by Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Minister for Science and Technology, Fawad Hussain Chaudhry, Governor Sindh, Imran Ismail, and NDU President, Lt. General Muhammad Saeed.

Celebrated national and international ICT experts, industrial representatives, and senior military and civil officers also attended the seminar.

Speaking on the occasion, the Director-General of the Institute for Strategic Studies, Research, and Analysis spelled out the seminar’s recommendations.

Imran Khan appreciated NDU’s initiative for arranging a seminar on the ICT sector and assured full support to the stakeholders by providing a facilitating regulatory environment.
